  • Exterior
    The exterior is brought back to its original luster. The brass hinges, pedals and lock assembly are inspected and polished.

  • Soundboard and Bridges
    The stability of the soundboard is inspected for full structural integrity and proper adhesion of the ribs.

  • Downbearing
    The downward pressure of the string is checked to ensure proper soundboard transference. This assures good quality of tone and resonance.

  • Pinblock
    Tuning stability is measured by testing the upward and downward torque of the tuning pins at A-440.

  • Tuning Pins
    Tuning pins are cleaned and proper spacing between string coil and plate is checked.

  • Strings
    The strings are examined and cleaned of anything that may affect their musical integrity.

  • Key-bed
    We inspect the construction and geometry of the key-bed to ensure the proper placement and operation of the action.

  • Keyframe
    Keys are removed and front and rear rail pins are inspected, cleaned, and lubricated. All worn punchings are replaced.

  • Keys
    The keytops and key fronts are cleaned to ensure a uniform, bright-white appearance.

  • Key Bushings
    We replace all worn key bushings to ensure proper lateral tightness of the keys.

  • Pedals/Trapwork
    Pedal rods and tap work is adjusted to ensure proper operation. Worn felt bushing are replaced as needed to ensure quiet operation.

  • Dampers
    Damper felt is inspected for proper softness and levers and wires are adjusted to correct and efficient operation.

  • Hammers
    The hammers are inspected and reshaped to attain the correct firmness and geometry, assuring a full and proper contact point.

  • Shanks/Flanges
    The operation of the flanges, center pins, and bushings are tested to ensure efficient and fluid motion of the hammer.

  • Wippens
    All components of the wippen assembly are inspected and adjusted to ensure efficiency and fluid motion of the hammer.

  • Repetition
    Worn or degraded return spring cords are replaced.

  • Plate
    Complete inspection of the sound plate to ensure it's structural integrity.

  • Touch weight
    The touch weight of each piano is adjusted to the original factory setting.

  • Regulation
    The action is adjusted to ensure that each piano has a consistent, efficient and expressive feel and touch in all registers of the instrument.

  • Voicing
    The tone quality of every piano is adjusted and perfected to reflect the clarity and depth of tone that is inherent in Yamaha pianos.

  • Moisture Content/Seasoning
    The equilibrium moisture content (EMC) of all pianos is verified to ensure compatibility with all North American climates.
